The AUTM Foundation was created as a support organization of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas between AUTM and public/private entities to promote initiatives that benefit the technology transfer community and, ultimately, enhance the human condition.

— Jane Muir, AUTM president, 2014-15
