Fellowship Details
The AUTM Foundation will select fellows who will receive:
- Expert mentor assigned to each participant
- Two-year AUTM membership
- Full access to AUTM’s Technology Transfer Training Manual and webinar library with 80+ topics
- Travel, accommodation, and registration to
- AUTM Essentials course (September 8-11, 2019 | Oak Brook, IL)
- AUTM Annual Meeting (March 8-11, 2020 | San Diego, CA)
- One AUTM Regional Meeting
- Inclusion in online peer communication forums with current and previous fellows
- Dedicated program administrator to field questions and troubleshoot
Applicants must:
- Have less than one year or no direct work experience in technology transfer
- Demonstrate interest in learning skills that will enable him/her to bring innovation from inventors, institutions and entrepreneurs to commercial use and public benefit
- A brief statement describing your interests in the academic technology transfer profession and the potential value of this award to your current career objectives -no more than 500 words
- Resume (2 pages maximum)
- Two brief letters of recommendation in support of your application – one from your employer (or your adviser if you are a graduate student applicant) and one from a professional colleague
